MEDICAL AND HEALTHCARE

Last time, I reflected on impractical handwashing practices which is inappropriate handwashing time. Most of the people nowadays merely wash their hands as condition and visibly clean. I do believe that we should change our mind set that visible clean does not mean 100% free germs. Awareness and pragmatic action should blast to educate people especially kids to be more serious and responsible in handwashing practices. Hence, I come out with my proposal of Smart Hand Wash which equipped with timer and sensor to ensure the user has sufficient hand washing time.

SMART HAND WASH

Hand wash that plays a rotating selection of 20-second jingles. Warning sensor would alarm as it detects any movement during the duration of 20 second.

I sum up the features of this smart hand wash in this figure below:

How to use?

When your hands get dirty, apply the hand wash liquid by pressing the nozzle. The timer will immediately start count of 20 seconds with jingles played along. For proper guidance, follow the steps of washing hands provided at the side of the bottles. Do not rinse your hands before the jingles end or else the sensor would detect your movement and the warning alarm will beeping. The hand wash bottle should be place at the right or left side of the sink, facing the sink. The sensor which located at the front side of the bottle will sense any movement if you ever try to break the 20 seconds rules.

Community Impact:

This smart hand wash is greatly potential to educate and expose the right practices of washing hands. It give focus more on school students, organization workers, hospital or large community. It seems impossible for each house to has this hand wash. By using this hand wash, people and kids will get used to the right way in washing hands hence practices wherever they are.

Collaborator:

  • Electronic companies would help in supplying of electronic components. The components required for this hand wash should be high in quality to increase its performances.
